Mini Horse Camp

Little Buckaroo Ranch Mini Horse Camp offers children, ages 3-6, an authentic Texas ranch experience in the hill country just west of Austin. On the first morning of camp, the little buckaroos become ranch hands. Toss scratch to the chickens & gather fresh farm eggs. Feed the goats & measure up evening rations for the horses. Groom a miniature horse & learn the wrangler's vocabulary describing the color, markings and conformation of the miniature horses and ponies as well as identifying the tack used. Leading a horse to water is something every buckaroo can do. After chores, enjoy a refreshing morning snack under the shade trees. Then head over to the OK Corral for a mini horse show down. Learn about horses in a safe environment that will not overwhelm even the smallest buckaroos at camp.

The second morning session begins with basic riding instruction and includes lead-line pony rides, art activities and a play period featuring old-fashioned ranch games. We'll rustle up some ranch vittles for lunch. Before you hit the trail for home, gather round to roast marshmallows.

Camp sessions are from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm. Jeans and sturdy shoes or boots are appropriate ranch attire. Parents or guardians are expected to attend.

Pre-registration by July 14 is required. Please return this form with your payment of $100 to Little Buckaroo Ranch. Confirmation of your child's camp dates and directions to the ranch will be mailed to you upon receipt of payment.
